The driving force behind Hearing@Loftus & Hearing@Groenkloof

Janah knew she always wanted a profession that would allow her to serve and interact with people on a daily basis. She qualified as an Audiologist and Speech-language therapist in 1997 at the University of Pretoria and has been a leading Audiologist in Pretoria for the past 20 years.  

Janah has witnessed hundreds of patients improve the quality of their lives as hearing aid technology continued to evolve.


"Hearing aid technology is a micro technology which moves faster than cell phone technology,” Janah explains. “Hearing aids now possess artificial intelligence that can track movement, translate languages, link to cell phones, stream audio directly into you ear — and they’re also rechargeable!"

Magda Meyer, our dedicated audiologist at Hearing@Groenkloof, brings a passion for personalised patient care to our practice. A graduate of the University of Pretoria with a BA in Audiology, Magda honed her skills during her community service year at 1 Military Hospital. She is deeply committed to improving the quality of life for her patients, offering tailored solutions that meet their unique hearing needs.


I am dedicated to working closely with each patient, delivering personalised care and solutions that truly improve their quality of life.

Magda continuously seeks to expand her expertise, particularly in advanced diagnostic testing, ensuring that each patient receives the highest level of care as our practice evolves.

Having a hearing loss can be isolating and hard to accept, because of this Janah treats every patient with care and understanding and pay particular attention to their individual hearing needs. She loves keeping up to speed with all the trends and developments and she enjoys the task of matching patients with the correct hearing aids to suit their lifestyle and level of hearing loss. 

Janah is a member of the Independent Connected Audiology Network (iCAN) and places her patients' well-being at the heart of everything she does. Her goal is to improve and maintain her patients' overall health and to empower them with an understanding of their condition and a bespoke wellness plan.
